In the heart of Archanes, Josef Gereige and Olga Genetzaki have traded blueprints for woodturning gouges. Both coming from backgrounds in Civil and Urban Planning Engineering, they bring a unique structural precision to the organic beauty of Cretan wood.
What began as a self-taught passion in 2016 has evolved into a family mission: to revive the ancient craft of woodturning. Every piece that leaves the workshop is a dialogue between their engineering roots and their deep love for the natural textures of Crete.

Coming from Hamburg, Germany, Anton successfully completed his residency in our Archanes workshop in May 2024. His final project—a pebble-shaped lamp—merged technical engineering with organic art. Just amazing.
