Handmade bowl made of Olive wood with beautiful grain and sculpted grooves. The bowl is turned by hand, on a woodturning lathe. It is made using a bowl gouge and a special tool for the sculpted grooves and then it is finished with extra virgin olive oil. The olive wood has been collected locally from Crete island in Greece. It is a hard, strong wood with rich color that is prized all around the world for its appearance.
It usually has many curly grains with a contrast of colors from beige to golden brown and to dark brown. The grain from piece to piece can be completely different but we always choose the most beautiful ones!
The diameter of the bowl is 23 cm (9 inches) and the height 9 cm (3.5 inches) .
For shipping we try to be as environmentally friendly as we can. The item will be packaged in a sustainably sourced box, using wood shavings from the lathe as a cushion for safe transport.
